Researcher Jian-Wei Gu, of the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, says the green tea antioxidant may work against breast cancer by suppressing blood vessel growth in breast tumors as well as slowing the proliferation and migration of breast cancer cells.

The results showed that treatment with the green tea antioxidant decreased tumor size by 66% and weight by 68% compared with the control group. Mice fed the antioxidant also had significantly lower density of small blood vessels within tumors and VEGF protein levels.

Add Women’s Breast Health with Green Tea natural antioxidant supplement to your daily nutritional regimen to help fight disease-causing free radicals to prevent breast cancer and to maintain a healthy breast everyday.

Women’s Breast Health and the latest scientific research.  Read on….

According to an article from the NIH, for most women with fibrocystic changes and no symptoms, no treatment is needed (although closer follow-up may be advised). Women with mild discomfort may benefit from supportive bras or over-the-counter pain relievers. For a very small number of women with painful cysts, draining the fluid by FNA can help relieve symptoms. Many other women without any large cysts have breast pain and tenderness.

Some women report that their breast symptoms improve if they avoid caffeine and other stimulants (methylxanthines) found in coffee, tea, chocolate, and many soft drinks. However, studies have not found those stimulants to have a significant impact on symptoms.  But many women and their doctors feel that avoiding these foods and drinks for a couple of months is worth trying. Because breast swelling toward the end of the menstrual cycle is painful to some women, some doctors recommend that women reduce salt in their diets or take diuretics (drugs to remove salt and fluid from the body). According to the same article, studies have not found diuretics to be better than pills that do not have any medicine in them (placebos).

Do you suffer from fibrocystic breast disease?  Have you tried herbal nutritional supplements to help treat this ailment?
