Green tea for healthy cholesterol

A big part of learning about cholesterol and how it relates to your good health is knowing the difference between good and bad cholesterol. First of all, cholesterol cannot travel by itself in the bloodstream, so it travel in packages called lipoproteins. There are two kinds of lipoproteins that carry cholesterol. The bad cholesterol is low density lipoprotein, or LDL, because it carries cholesterol to body tissues, like the arteries in your heart. High amounts of LDL in your blood can cause buildup in the arteries of your heart, leading to heart disease or heart attack.

The good cholesterol is high density lipoprotein, or HDL, because it takes cholesterol from the body tissues to the liver, which ultimately removes it to the body. The key to having a healthy cholesterol level is having a low level of LDL (bad) cholesterol in your blood, and a high level of HDL (good) cholesterol in your blood. A number of medical researchers have found that green tea can help increase good cholesterol levels, and lower bad cholesterol and overall cholesterol levels. Check with a health-care professional to see if green tea can help you achieve a healthy cholesterol level.

Green Tea for Weight LossGreen tea is one of those miracle substances that has such a multitude of positive applications that it’s difficult to name them all. However, most will agree the antioxidants in green tea are the cause of its health benefits. The antioxidants in green tea can do much to improve overall health and wellness. But perhaps green tea extract is most often used in combination with weight loss. The antioxidants in green tea oxidize fat cells, and move them into the blood stream, which then causes weight loss. In fact, because of this, just drinking a cup of green tea in the morning can be the equivalent of burning about 70 calories. There are few substances in the world that can claim an ability to burn calories when ingested. Green tea also can be used to increase metabolism, and has been shown to provide benefits to fitness as well.

Because green tea functions as a natural antioxidant supplement , it is often used as a weight loss supplement in tandem with diet and exercise. For people who want to lose weight and not have to change a whole lot about their lifestyle, drink a few cups of green tea each day; it works wonders!

Green Tea: This Stuff’s Amazing! When it comes to weight loss, skin care, and even a health oriented drink to wake up to in the morning, green tea is the way to go.  Because of antioxidants contained within green tea leaves, green tea has some amazing properties that allow it to accomplish much more than even penicillin in terms of health benefits.  Green tea is amazing for weight loss; the antioxidants contained within oxidize the fat cells in our bodies.  It’s predicted that by drinking a cup of green tea, we eliminate 60-70 calories from our daily intake.  When we think about most coffee drinks that contain sugar, cream, and other fattening products, just eliminating coffee from the diet and drinking green tea can be a difference of 250-300 calories.  Green tea weight loss supplements are even available for those who don’t want to drink it.  Green tea also makes for an amazing skin care product.  The antioxidants enrich the skin, and allow it to breathe, unclogging pores and making the skin smoother and even more resilient to damage.  While green tea isn’t as potent a coffee, it does contain more than enough caffeine to wake up or remain focused, it’s also much healthier

People who utilize green tea or green tea extract on a daily basis will enjoy several health benefits that the average person will not.  Green tea is the wave of the future, start using it now and reap the benefits later!

Weight Loss with Green TeaWhile most people wouldn’t think drinking green tea or taking a green tea supplement could lead to weight loss, it can!  Green tea contains powerful antioxidants which can do wonders for people who are overweight or people who are just looking to lose a few pounds.  The antioxidants in green tea oxidize the fat cells in the body and move them into the bloodstream, which, over time, translates into weight loss.  Taken as an antioxidant supplement, green tea is quite effective.  In fact, drinking a cup of green tea in the morning can be compared to the equivalent of burning 60-70 calories!  There’s few substances chemical or natural that can make that kind of statement.  But the best part about green tea is that it’s all natural, and working in tandem with diet and exercise it can have amazing results.

You can find green tea, green tea extract, and green tea antioxidant supplements at most retailers that sell vitamins and online stores.  For people who don’t like drinking tea, taking a green tea supplement makes weight loss a cinch!

Benefits of a Green Tea Supplement

While drinking green tea can be of significant benefit during daily life, taking a green tea supplement is even better.  Nutritional supplements complete with green tea extract can enhance multiple functions within the body.  For example, as an antioxidant, green tea oxidizes fat cells, which in turn increases your metabolism and energy, and assists you with losing weight.  When taking a green tea supplement, it’s been suggested that taking it between meals rather than at meals is better for health.  However, it’s also important to limit your intake because excessive caffeine can be dangerous.

Green tea supplements all have green tea extract, and can be purchased at most stores that sell vitamins.  In addition, green tea supplements have become more common at pharmacies and supermarkets because of their popularity and the variety of people who use them on a daily basis.

healthy blood pressure

Hypertension, more commonly known as high blood pressure, is a serious condition that often results from other conditions, but can cause a host of problems and lead to illness.  The most common causes of hypertension include obesity, genetics, and age.  If hypertension remains untreated, it can increase the risk factors for strokes and heart attacks.  To reduce hypertension, there are a number of treatments.  First of all, if you are obese, it’s best to start working towards getting in shape with a diet and exercise regimen.  There are also various supplements and drugs that can be taken to reduce high blood pressure.

In general, healthy blood pressure is considered to be about 115 systolic and 75 diastolic, often represented as 115/75.  Risks for people more than 10 points above either of these ranges are significant, and increase exponentially.

They Call it Liver for a Reason

The liver is one of the most essential organs in your body, and one of the few organs you can’t live without; hence the name ‘liver’.  The liver acts as a filter for various toxins and harmful substances that are ingested.  The most common cause of liver problems is excessive drinking of alcoholic beverages.  For example, a man who frequents bars three to four nights per week will have significant damage to his liver eight to ten years later.  To care for your liver, avoid ingesting a lot of acidic beverages or foods, and also consider liver detox supplements.

Several liver detox supplements are recommended by doctors for heavy drinkers and sometimes elderly people.  With a liver detox, you can remove some of the harmful toxins that the liver has captured and filtered over the years, and ensure that it is more healthy for years to come.

Multivitamins help to address the deficiencies of valuable vitamins and minerals within our body.  By taking multivitamins and eating right, you can prevent illnesses from ever slipping past your body’s natural defenses.  In addition, taking multivitamins can also help to combat illnesses.  For example, if a person is obese and trying to lose weight, multivitamins with green tea extract can provide valuable anti oxidants which will burn calories.  If you have a common cold it’s important to take multivitamins with vitamin C to combat existing symptoms and even the onslaught of more symptoms.

Maintaining the proper balances of vitamins and minerals in your body will help you to lead a healthier, more energetic life.  It’s also quite important for growing children, as vitamins can contribute to or hinder their natural growth.

tired manIf you’re feeling kind of slow and tired, and just generally not on top of things, perhaps you should consider a detox. Bloating, bad breath, blemishes, tiredness, a lack of energy, dull hair and skin and digestive disorders are all signs that you have an excess of toxins built up in your body. And these toxins can come from anything – cookies, wine, Thanksgiving dinner, cigarette smoke… because these toxins are in everything, they’re hard to avoid.

A natural detox is recommended once a year to rid your system of all these toxins. Organs to focus on are the liver, kidneys, large intestines and the skin. A detox usually is marked by a fast, or by eating an incredibly specific diet, along with taking vitamins. Most detoxes last a few weeks and will leave you feeling energized and alert.
